Welcome to Berghaus Edelhirsch!
For years, we rented privately-owned holiday homes for our vacations. You can always tell the difference in personal touch and atmosphere when you compare it to a house in a holiday park. So now we have our own spacious holiday villa (120 square meters) for 6 to 8 people, located at the foot of the border triangle of Austria, Italy and Slovenia!
The front provides you with a view of the Villacher Alpine massif and the garden side offers a view of the Karawanken and the ski lift, which leads to the top at 1560 meters.
A place where you can re-energize in spring, summer, autumn and winter by undertaking a wide range of activities, or where you can completely relax in our nice holiday home and the wonderfully pleasant climate.
A place to enjoy all the good things of the three cultures, the overwhelmingly beautiful nature, the good food and drink, the many lakes, beautiful walking and cycling routes and the many things to discover.
Our mountain house is close to the edge of the forest. If you go for an evening or morning stroll in vicinity, chances are you will spot deer!

Facilities in our carinthian holiday residence
Our dream house has been built and furnished with great care and an eye for detail to suit an austrian gemütlickheit. It offers many extras: a comfortable underfloor heating, supplemented for the atmosphere by a wood stove that gives off a pleasant radiant heat. The stone house is built in the traditional Austrian way and is therefore well insulated. This ensures that it is wonderfully warm in winter, and that it stays pleasantly cool in summer.
Our holiday home is equipped with every luxury in the kitchen, and a 4K Smart TV with Canal Digital and of course WiFi and free internet. We also provide a washing machine and dryer and a heated ski locker for drying all winter sports equipment.
In the bedrooms you will find wonderfully comfortable box spring beds and the bathrooms have nice rain showers.
Carinthia is fun all year round!
Our house is beautifully situated, with views of two mountain ranges, the Villacher Alps Massif and the Karawanken.
What makes Carinthia such a great destination is that you can enjoy it at any time of the year: the great climate on the south side of the Alps (most hours of sunshine in Europe!), The huge range of activities and sights for young and old, the atmospheric and hospitable villages with their festivals and festivities, the river valleys of the Drau and the Gail, where it is wonderful cycling and walking, and the rugged mountain ranges and the many untouched nature reserves and incredibly beautiful mountain lakes.
